AIS-CAD: Intelligent Computer-Aided Diagnosis System for Acute Ischemic Stroke in NCCT Images

The intelligent computer-aided diagnosis system is designed to identify affected regions in acute ischemic strokes within brain NCCT (Non-Contrast Computed Tomography) images. The system aims to detect involved brain areas at a time when no visible patterns can be recognized by physicians during the first 24 hours after the onset of stroke symptoms. However, using deep learning algorithms, it becomes possible to identify patterns, providing valuable assistance to the medical team in localizing the affected regions. This capability supports timely and appropriate treatment within the first 24 hours, considered the golden window for effective stroke management.
